PAINT WACO BLUE
April is Child Abuse Awareness month
Let's PAINT WACO BLUE this April in support of spreading awareness of April being Child Abuse Awareness month! Paint Waco Blue is a grassroots campaign to increase the dialogue about the silent epidemic of child abuse, in Waco and the surrounding areas, during the month of April.
The campaign includes asking individuals to use the image of the blue 'Prevent Child Abuse' ribbon, pictured here, as their social medial profile picture, an informational meeting, a salon event, and the opportunity to purchase promotional items which will fund the purchase of children's abuse/trauma survivor books, 'Why Did This Happen to Me, Aunt Lou?', for the Waco Family Abuse Center.
This month, and throughout the year, Paint Waco Blue encourages all individuals and organizations to play a role in making Waco, Texas a better place for children and families by ensuring that parents have the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to care for their children.
